Tasks for the Week 2
Last week, we introduced ourselves and then shared our expectations with each other. After that, we organized an online discussion but unfortunately the number of the participants was just 2. So we haven't still heard our voices online, yet. For the second week, we have the following tasks.
1. We created a blog for you which is http://digitalstorytelling.blogspot.com. We want you to write your introduction here and then add two photos (One is yours and the other is you with your students if possible). In order to complete this task, we should know your e-mail address (Gmail is preferred). Could you please send me your gmail addresses to sakayoglu@yahoo.co.uk ? After that you can watch the video tutorial which you download clicking here. What we actually want you to write are;
Your educational background
Your expectations from this session
Your project scenario (What are you planning to create a video as a final project? Just a draft.)
Your photo and a photo with your students.
2. You will start collecting materials (audio files, pictures, movies, etc.) Your project can be anything that you can use in your classes. That can be about a cultural issue, your own memories, or a warm up activity. While collecting these files, you can ask us if you have any questions.
3. This week, we will have a guest speaker, Dr. Derya Erice. We will meet her on WiZiQ environment. I hope this time, more participants can join us. We will create a poll (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/digitalstories09/polls) for the attendance and we want to see who can join the session. Dr. Erice is available at 8 PM GMT on Wednesday. We will organize this event according to the participation.
4. And finally, we want you to tag some websites on delicious (http://delicious.com) with EVO09DS tag. Delicious is an online tool that you can keep your favourite websites on the Internet. It is really easy to use and you don't need to download any program to your computer. It is a webbased tool. When you enter the page, you create an account for you and then start adding websites to your favourites. While adding websites, you have the chance to add labels as well; and this labels are called as tags.
If this week's tasks are really important to go on the session.
Warm regards,
